Explanation of Costs:
I do not charge any extra fees to order blanks through my vendors. My price is your price. Please allow for delivery times and the time it will take to complete your order!
Engraving and setup time
Setup time is typically 10 mins per piece for most products + laser run time
Typical engraving time is 20-60 mins for larger designs and products that require rotary engraving such as trophies with round bases and tumblers that will get more than 20% of its surface engraved.
A more typical run time is 5 mins to 20 mins for smaller and medium sized designs that do not require a rotary device. Material and design choices can alter these times in some cases.
This cost is estimated.
The estimate is provided with your design approval documents and you must acknowledge your estimated cost before work begins. Time estimates are usually accurate, and are far more likely to go down than up.
Final cost will NEVER exceed the estimate by more than 10%. However, It can go down by any amount.
If we complete a job quicker than the estimate, those savings are passed back to you on the final bill!
Shop rate
60$ Per Hour, Half hour minimum.
I keep a detailed record of setup, design, testing and machine time while working on each project.
I include this in your receipt I provide to you when you pay for your order on pickup. If there are cost adjustments, I will make you aware as soon as possible.
I will adjust your shop time down if the job runs faster than expected (saving you money).
Estimate cost will NEVER increase by more than 10%, no matter what.
At Burnhouse Designs, we strive to provide the most accurate time estimates possible to ensure our customers know what they can expect to pay at pickup.
If you have any pricing questions, give me a call before placing your order and I will walk you through the process and explain the different factors that can directly influence engraving time (price).
Example of variables that can affect time and cost:
The size of the design affects this significantly, so It will depend on the trophy that you select and the design proof you like the best.
Setup time - the easier it is to get setup, the less time it will take. (Trophies that have a round or square base that they stand on are the easiest to set up.)
Engraving time - Simply put, Rotary engravings take longer due to how laser rotary devices function. Large designs take longer. Odd shaped objects take longer. Large objects that are difficult to fixure in place take longer. Pretty straight forward.
